Day 13... Still spotted

It's funny how I can still find a little vanity in me... My mom was convincing me to go out for an errand already... I still refused and said I'm at the height of being "most contagious" as my excuse but what really worries me are the spots dotting my face...
Oh well I wonder if concealer makeup would be enough when the time comes I need to get back to work...

Day 12... Work at home

I can't escape it apparently...
With the technology and communication devices at our disposal, resting and relaxing from work is a challenge in itself... Unless you find yÓurself marooned on a deserted island ala-Survivor sÉriÉs...
I don't want that but as my barkada once said, be thankful that you have a job... Because of it you can spend for a vacation :)

Day 11... Next week

Technically, I go back to work next Tuesday... My 2 week house arrest ends before that but work for me starts Tuesdays every week...
Honestly, I don't know whether to bÉ excited or anxÍous about it...
For sure I have loads of pending work... 2 weeks worth!
Well... Bring it on!

Day 10... Too dry

My face is like a dry desert... With cracks and all that stuff... I can't do much but let the wounds heal... I'm grateful that it doesn't itch that much... Maybe it's gearing up for its last hurrah...

Day 8... I went to church

I can't recall what parable or story Ít Ìs frÓM thÉ BÍblÈ whÉreÌn isÓlÀtion and being ostracized is the topic but I guess there are a few stories which I can somehow relate...
How I unobtrusively kept to the back and participated in the mass as much as I can... It's a good thing there were only a few who attended the anticipated mass... And À few would have seen this girl trying to blenÐ in wearing a royal blue long sleeves and bohemiÀn skirt.... Talk about blending Ín huh...
At lÉÀst I get to go to Çhurch...

Day 7... Halfway

Lucky number perhaps?
Maybe not but simply a halfway mark for me and my forced house arrest...
This would be my "hump day"...
Getting over the ridge now and expecting... What exactly?
I'm not sure... Whether it would get worse before everything will get better...
It's just a wait and see for now...

Day 5... Getting up

Regardless of the prescribed house arrest for 2 weeks, I haven't had a decent restful sleep, esp since I still wake up early - well woken up early to drink my meds - then try to get back to sleep... Where I almost always fail...

Day 4... I need to work

Unfortunately I need to work from home for now... As much as I would love to simply rest and expire of boredom at home... I still need to do a few stuff for work from my end...
At least it will teach me a lot of patience since I plan to let my mom do the typing for me

Day 3... Watching TV

Instead of getting back to sleep after taking my prescribed medicine...
I'm stuck here watching TV...
Instead of my off day Monday, I'm really now forced to stay home for
2 weeks...
I can just imagine the pile of work I'll get back to after that 2 weeks...
I'll try and get back to sleep... I had another fitful one last night...

Day 2... Miserable

I seldom use that word...
And now I don't just feel like it...
I look like it...
Fitful sleep the night before... Can't properly freshen up because I'm not sure what exactly are the things I can and can not do until I go have a check-up...
Fainted a few times earlier since I'm compounded by that time of the month and it's pitfalls as well...
Haaaay...
Give me strength...

2 weeks of house arrest

Define bad timing...
Catching the chicken pox at my age and when we're off to a family outing...
I need not bemoan how much I can not afford not to go to work...
I don't have a "staff" whom I can turn over stuff and duties to...
Aside from that who wants to be bored witless at home?!
Gosh! I will surely count the days until I grow terminally insane!
Such an exaggeration of course but still heartfelt as far as I'm concerned...

Let's tick off the days shall we...

Starting today...

Guess where I'm at right now while I write...
At a corner of the villa where we're staying, charging my phone and keeping away from most of the kids who are here now...
Good thing I'm not contagious yet! That's what they say... I don't know anything about this chicken pox much that I'm dreading not taking a batch for weeks?! Gah!
