Watched OneRepublic... Mission accomplished

OneRepublic is undoubtedly One of.. if not my most favorite band!
I remember swearing to myself (even during the days when Apologize was hitting the charts) that once they come to Manila I will surely watch their concert...
Finally! Mission accomplished! and amidst the traffic jammed Edsa thank goodness I came just in time (incidentally, this is the first time I've been "late" to a concert good thing they started late too, well almost)

Good news I took A LOT of pictures of course - using both my BlackBerry and digicam (which I'm too lazy to organize and just posted them all)

Bad news - I'm seated far enough to get blurry photos as expected and also that I am one giant leap away from my sister (blame it on miscommunication from the ticket seller)

Nevertheless it was ONE GREAT SHOW!
from no less than Ryan Tedder and his band (just had to mention that haha)
and I expect to watch them again when they come back for another concert!

For the rest of the blurry photos :)

The best concert for me - The Script Live in Manila

I remember telling myself that when The Script comes down to Manila, I will really really make sure and watch their concert! (I failed my promise before and missed Adam Lambert's concert) Weeks or even months before their scheduled concert, I asked my friends who are also fans of the band to come watch with me... so after securing upper box b tix for the Araneta concert, together with my sis and 2 college friends, we screamed ourselves hoarse as we sang along to almost all of this band's songs that night! Goodness! Alam mo yun kilig?! Ngayon lang ata ako uli kinilig habang nanunuod ng concert! hahaha THEY ARE SO AMAZING! Danny, Mark and Glen, you lads raised the roof!

They have to come back to Manila soon! I'll be watching and waiting for that one for sure =)

by vinceme29 (videos are so near! hi there danny! haha)
and iamthepurplewalrus (better audio tho a little bit farther)

Just one of the many songs where the whole Araneta was singing along!
I remember this was the song in particular
which I was screaming! along literally!
Hence the hoarse voice after the show hahaha

This one of course for me is my favorite song of theirs!

I am still on a high and viewing and searching uploaded vids on youtube hahaha
even saw a twitpic of Danny wearing a TeamManila shirt

Danny of @thescript wearing Team Manila tee on Twitpic

Of course the band just had to show their appreciation of Manila's
warm reception with a photo of them with the crowd in Araneta as the backdrop

They should really be back soon!... please fulfill your promise to do so haha

the script in manila

and have I said that THEY ARE AMAZING?!!!!

i can't think of enough superlatives

Days after, I still can't get over the overwhelming experience of watching TEARS FOR FEARS live in Manila... FINALLY! After 40 years?! Ooops! Lumalabas ang edad! Mali pa ang pagcompute! haha

This is my 3rd concert this year - watched Paramore and Timbaland feat Justin Timberlake last March - and I have not experienced such ENTHUSIASM! If the crowd's cheer could have made the earth shake I wonder what magnitude that night would register! haha It nearly did do that to the Araneta as excited 80s babies (well not everyone are haha) danced and SANG to (almost) every song Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal dished out!

From their opening songs Mad World (operatic version) to my fave Everybody Wants to Rule the World they already had the 16,000 capacity crowd up on their feet! And I think I hardly sat back down as I waited for their other famous hits...Sowing the Seeds of Love...Pale Shelter...and a 2nd round of MAD WORLD - this time they sang their original faster version - and a few of their not so wildly applauded songs as they switched solo songs...but what really surprised me was when Ronald sang this familiar song - it took us minutes to identify that it was Billie Jean! Classic! If only I can grab a hold of his version... and lastly they sang Head Over Heels!

What was amazing was that Roland had to cover his ears and just let the whole crowd sing the last line: time flies! it was that loud! GAH! I wonder if they could even hear themselves sing! haha

Of course they were not done...even if they had to exit the stage... now i felt the venue shake! People were clamoring for more and even stomping their feet! No let out until they came back and sang Woman in Chains (their backup male vocalist did the female part huwow!)... and finally SHOUT! Let it all out indeed!!!

Do you think I need to rate this concert? Ha! I'm biased! and I remember that my throat hurt from all the shouting and my palms hurt too with all the clapping I did...so I guess that's more than proof that I absolutely enjoyed this night! and let me just say this: IT WAS EXTREMELY AMAZING!!!

thanks to AK Ocol for the onstage photos above

Timbaland Shock Value II Concert in Manila

It felt like I was just hanging out in some club/bar and bopping my head to this funky beat all night courtesy of TIMBALAND! Gosh! I believe I can say I'm a fan of him now! haha

Last Saturday, March 27... I trooped to MOA concert grounds...and got ready to stand for hours haha

What amazing stage...what I can see of it from far away in the Bronze section - 2 parking lots away haha - cool background/stage lights!

A sure way for a fundraiser to be a success - turn into a concert highlighted by these fantastic performers!

But one of the reasons I stayed standing all throughout the 5 hours! - (The concert started around 9:45pm after earth hour and ended at 12am!) was because of the bonus of seeing Jojo and Justin Timberlake perform onstage!

Huwow! The body pains were all worth it then haha!
