Week END food tripping again

I'm not that fond of Mexican food but whenever I get the chance to eat it I go with the safe ones... 

Nachos or the quesadillas

   

It's another night out with my friends...

And we started with Su Casa in this food strip compound in Parañaque...

 

It seems like a popular food resto since it has the stamp of "no. 1 Mexican joint in Metro Manila by When In Manila" outside (it's a website for travelers and tourists and such)... 

 And I would agree that their peri chicken and shrimp gambas is good

 Since I am around the area and we're waiting for our ramen in the nearby resto... 

We passed by the community market first, which is open on weekends here in Salcedo in Makati 

City

 

 

 We really just killed time around the block and had dalandan juice...

 No wonder most ramen bars have adequate seating space...

 

 

 When you're seated, they prepare your order so that it is served hot... 

 The best way to enjoy any shoyu ramen... 

With gyoza on the side... 

   

 Another first time experience in Mendokoro, a ramen bar in Makati. 

 Go ahead and try it... 

 It's worth the wait...

Little dots of cholesterol

It's funny how you think that when you eat little things like munchkins, 

and in this instance J.Co jpops, 

that let's you get away from all the cholesterol you would usually get from a regular donut... 

You're quite mistaken... Esp if you try to eat this much in one seating...

Which I didn't of course...

Our Staple at a Chinese Resto

This photo was taken at Luk Yuen at Makati Supermart

Aside from the expected pansit canton, one of the "bestseller" for us

whenever we go and eat at a Chinese restaurant is the popular Lemon

chicken... Also I'd be looking for Shrimp dumpling or what I would

call shrimp hakaw (did I spell it right?)...

And any fish viand - in this picture is the Fish Fillet in taosi sauce

- I ordered this thinking it was that other popular viand I order, the

spare ribs in taosi sauce haha

What's another plus point in eating at a Chinese restaurant is its

affordable prices... (Except for PF Changs but that's another story

hehe)

Bastardized food

Don't be deceived by the title...
I just recalled how my friend, now living in the US, once called P.F. Chang's, a bastardized kind of chinese restaurant...
For sure that was not a compliment... Which made me more interested to try it for myself...

And we just did...

And I enjoyed their Asian cuisine... It surely is worth coming back to :)

Finally ate at Conti's

I've only just had dessert at this popular restaurant Conti's 

- bananalicious pie for the win! - 

and the last time I ate a meal there was sooooo long ago 

I can't even recall what I ate...

So after our run yesterday, our group patiently waited for the restaurant

 to open at 8am haha and had brunch...

This simply delicious daing na bangus is mine.

Australia Adventure - Food Photos

Feast your eyes on these and wonder no more why people down under are taller and bigger than the average Pinoy - or ME for that matter - I'm tall for my height but I really felt small haha
