I'm giving you 2 reasons: first, I miss posting in this blog of mine and what better way to "reactivate it" than by (second) posting my latest lss - youtube videos - because lately, embarrassingly enough - I've been hooked on this what I would like to call my local Robsten - what their fans call them AshRald - I blame it on my officemates who insisted that I watch this specific Tagalog movie! Kinda long story but... that's what I've been doing to kill time... watch youtube videos of them for my "kilig dose" haha...

And one of those vids - this one in particular - led me to this song by Barbra Streisand... 

it's a very nice wedding song :) haha

but it never really caught my interest at first
because I knew they were by a a boy band - and I mean teens!
But when I saw the lyrics...huh! I kinda like it now
(actually it was this fanmade vid that made me look for this song haha)

     I just attended this seminar/exhibit in a hotel in Makati wherein they convened school representatives from the UK.  Over lunch - may I just add that it was a free buffet lunch - I still got to mingle with the other counselors and university reps who were present.  When another counselor asked one of the reps, who was from Malaysia, if it was her first time in the Philippines, she answered yes and this led to her cringing experience with our taxi drivers! She related that she was billeted at a different cheaper hotel in Makati and had to take a taxi to the exhibit's venue which was also within Makati.  She hailed a taxi and the vehicle was a few meters and speeding away when the driver blurts out that he's charging her P500 for the fare! (Me: OMG!) She had no choice but to pay the fare (because she did not know any better)... What's more dumbfounding to hear is that the next taxi she rode in properly used the meter and charged her P70 for the same distance! GAH! 

     I was dismayed and disappointed after hearing about her experience! To use a better Filipino term - nainis talaga ako for her!... I was really controlling myself from uttering expletives! So I just ended up telling her that maybe next time before getting into the next taxi ask first whether the driver will use the meter or not... Now in retrospect I should have told her to take note of the taxi's plate number too the next time she visits the Philippines just in case history repeats itself and she gets unlucky again....

The Versatile Blogger Award

I can't tell how old this blog of mine is so I had to go and check... and this is my 370th post since February 2008! Wow! And I'm an amateur when it comes to blogging anyway and am not that active now, thanks or no thanks to twitter and before plurk, but hey I still get to post stuff here when I get the chance...and I have other blogs too: i like anything green and my lomography is my pastime, but not that active as this one - just semi-active like a dormant volcano haha.

And like a chain mail, which I can not for the life of me refuse for some reason - like fear of unconditional bad luck?! (is there such a thing?), I chose to follow and repost this one: "The Versatile Blogger Award", thanks to verjube of myphotographics for nominating me - if I knew of this beforehand I would have nominated you first! Madaya ka lang eh! haha


Yeah I agree may chain mail na rin nga sa blogging for sure after my few followers go and check out the blogsites that I would list down - which most are popular in their own rights anyway so this would be just more free advertising for them haha.


so what 7 random things about me can I share... hmmm...
1. I currently have around 240 kids... that's because I work as a school counselor :) (wait! that's 2 random things already! haha)
2. My close college friends call me "leader" not because I instigate riots or provoke or motivate them to do anything... I can't recall who started it though...
3.  I usually am involved in organizing get together and other reunions of my close friends, for some reason I'm always the self-appointed contact person - thanks to unlimited texting!
4.  I like the color green! - it's been my color since my grade school to college and now that I'm working! I see the color everywhere in my work haha
5.  My friends know me as Kit, the online world know me as TiKisokA, while only a few know my full name and still call me by that name! Won't post it here so it's for you to find out :)
6.  I get peeved with grammatical errors and spelling and would automatically correct people even when we're chatting - my bad! :)
7.  I don't sing that well so don't expect me to do karaoke and I can only do a bad version of Buttercup!
