in my opinion...this song evidently shows...that sometimes...beautiful haunting music...is backed up by funky weird lyrics (flightless bird, fat house cat?!)...which may initially don't jive...but all in all...STILL WORKS!
or maybe I just don't have time to find the underlying meaning of the lyrics haha
Flightless Bird, American Mouth
by Iron and Wine
(Twilight OST)
I was a quick wet boy
Diving too deep for coins
All of your straight blind eyes
Wide on my plastic toys
And when the cops closed the fair
I cut my long baby hair
Stole me a dog-eared map
And called for you everywhere
Have I found you?
Flightless bird, jealous, weeping
Or lost you?
American mouth
Big bill looming
Now I’m a fat house cat
Cursing my sore blunt tongue
Watching the warm poison rats
Curl through the wide/white fence cracks
Kissing on magazine photos
Those fishing lures thrown in the cold and clean
Blood of Christ mountain stream
Have I found you?
Flightless bird, brown hair bleeding
Or lost you?
American mouth
Big bill, stuck going down

wouldn't happen to know if this song is on the coffee prince soundtrack as well... maybe by a female singer? It's driving me crazy!
oh my...
i wouldn't know
though you can google and find the OST for Coffee Prince =P
it just might be included there
hehe
yeah...it's exactly a similar song in Coffee Prince, but different lyric. i was curious since i heard the twilight ost for the first time. then i checked my coffee prince's mp3, but it only mention a korean title : 한결 dialogue - 한결의 고백. would it be a coincident song :D
oh really?
maybe I'd have to check out the Coffee Prince OST too
haha
